Having two sets of twins is just crazy. It’s every bit as much work now that they’re 9 1/2 and 11 as it was when they were 1 1/2 and 3. It’s just a different kind of work. I do so love looking back at old blog posts from those long, crazy days when they were rambunctious toddlers. This one in particular cracked me up. It was posted almost exactly eight years ago, in November of 2006.
“I have to tell you something funny Mallory said – you know, that child cracks me up on a daily basis! I love this age. As much of a pain my 3-year-old is, she sure is darling, too.
Paul brought home a mini trampoline someone was throwing away. As he brought it in the room, he said all excited, “Guess what I haaaave…” Mallory saw it and squealed and jumped up and down. Paul said, “Mallory, what IS it?” and she goes, “A TABLE! Yay! THANK you, Daddy!!”
She was REALLY excited when she realized what it really was! Here is everyone jumping all at once, like they do on the big trampoline except on a much tinier scale.”
Those tiny little children! My heart. Nikki, my little thumbsucker. Lexi, happiest baby ever. Pablo, who didn’t have any language yet. And sweet Mallory, so happy about A TABLE!
