The weather is warming up here in colorful Colorado! Yesterday was our first really gorgeous day – and my hubby made the most of it by taking his first motorcycle ride of the year. He wasn’t the only one with that idea, either – I saw dozens and dozens of riders while I was out and about yesterday!
My kids haven’t been inside since breakfast. They’re tearing up the ‘hood on their scooters, and decorating the whole driveway and street with chalk and paint. Yep, PAINT! Sidewalk paint is SO quick, easy, and fun – and super cheap to make, which mama loves.
Here’s all you need:
- 4 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 6 to 8 drops food coloring
I like to mix this up in plastic bowls in my kitchen, and then transfer it to muffin tins, so each kid has a variety of colors. We use sponge brushes, and they work great. The color isn’t bright at first – it almost looks like you’re painting with water – but it dries brightly in seconds!
Go make some!
