Boulder Creek Festival & AT&T GoPhone #ATTGoPhone

School is OUT! My four kiddos finished up the school year last Friday, after endless days of rain and frigid temperatures. They even missed their end-of-year pool party, because it was 49 degrees that morning! We were so happy to see the sun come out on Saturday when we hit the road for Boulder, to help spread the word about #ATTGoPhone at the Boulder Creek Festival. We had such a blast, checking out the farmer’s market, beer garden, live music, carnival rides, and interactive vendor booths along the Boulder Creek in downtown Boulder, Colorado.

Here we are in the AT&T booth, playing a virtual reality game using a GoPhone-compatible smartphone! My kids loved it, but it just made me dizzy!

We also made our own Wayfarer-style sunglasses mixing and matching colors – we all got to pick out our favorite color combos. And we got to design our own t-shirts, with designs commemorating the event.

I’ve been in the market for some new phones for awhile now, since our second set of twins is heading into middle school, so I was actually really interested in spending time with the AT&T team members, learning everything about the AT&T GoPhone! I was pleasantly surprised to learn how affordable the GoPhone is. $45 a month gives you unlimited talk and text, plus 3 GB of data. And I figured prepaid phones would be pretty duddy, especially at that price, but nope. AT&T provided me with a Samsung Galaxy Express, nearly identical to the Galaxy I already use with my current provider. I had a great time taking pics with it all day long!

Our kids rode the rides for HOURS while Pauly and I relaxed in the sun, petting sweet dogs, checking out great artists and musicians, and enjoying the beer from some great Boulder breweries! It was a perfect kickoff to summer break. And of course I snapped pics the whole time with my new GoPhone! Lucky I got to use it for a minute, because my kids have already snagged it from me.

A few things you might not know about AT&T GoPhone!

  • Service is on AT&T’s 4G LTE network, which reaches more than 300 million people.
  • The phones are anything but basic! You can choose from the latest 4G LTE Android smartphones at affordable prices, including Samsung & LG.
  • No credit check and no getting stuck in a contract!
  • BYOD ‘Bring Your Own Device’ – GoPhone is compatible with most phones, including iPhones, which means new and current AT&T customers can easily activate their current device on GoPhone.
  • Great monthly rate plans, including unlimited talk/text and 3 GB of data for just $45 a month.

Check this out! I’m teaming up with AT&T to give away a GoPhone 4G/LTE smartphone and a $45 AT&T GoPhone refill card. Entering is easy! Just leave a blog comment, telling me what you would do with your very own AT&T Go-Phone-compatible 4G LTE smartphone. Keep it for yourself? Give it to your kids? Use it for your secret identity? I want to know! Please see below for contest rules & disclosures.

I’d give it to the tween in the house.

  3. MaryAnn Huie says:

I would use it to stay in touch with my kids! I am currently living in a nursing home with my husband after a car accident in March 2015 left us both paralyzed. Been using Hangouts app on tablet or the shared nursing home cordless to stay in touch.

  10. madge2015 says:

I would give it to my sweet niece! She will be turning 10 this year, she loves her ipad but her mom can’t really get in touch with her on that, it would be great for her to have 1- for the camera she loves to take pictures and 2- like I mentioned above so her mom can get in touch with her.
This day and age so many of us have gotten rid of our “home phones” and only have a cell now. That leaves our kids without a phone if mom needs to go and run an errand or two. Having a phone like this would help so much! What a great post!! I love it! Thanks for introducing me to this awesome phone by AT&T !
    Loves- Madge
