I’ve actually been buying Harvest Snaps forever, from the first time I saw them at Sprouts, back when they were called Snappea Crisps. Well, now they’re called Harvest Snaps, and I see them everywhere – seriously, I just saw them at 7-Eleven today! I’m always looking for healthier snacking options for my kids, and these are SO good, and perfect to pack in lunchboxes and backpacks.
“Formerly known as Snapea Crisps, Harvest Snaps is launching new flavors under the Snapea and Lentil varieties that will appeal to all snack fans. Super crunchy and full of flavor, Harvest Snaps’ Snapea Crisps are made from naturally dried peas, which make up 70% of the product, while Lentil Snaps are made from 65% Lentils and contain 5g of protein and 13% of your daily fiber.”
My kids love getting stuff in the mail, and it’s always a happy day when we open up a giant box of something yummy! You should’ve seen their faces light up when I pulled all of this out. Whee!
Here are all the new flavors:
- Lightly Salted
- Black Pepper
- Wasabi Ranch
- Tomato Basil
- Onion Thyme
My kids and I opened up every single one of these bags and pigged out on them, to figure out which ones we liked the best. The results: Out of my five kids, 2 kids preferred the Caesar flavor, 1 liked Tomato Basil, 1 liked Lightly Salted, and 1 liked the Onion Thyme. (The Onion Thyme will give you some crazy breath, though, let me tell ya. My little Nikki’s breath was kickin’ it.) Two of my kids thought they should come in a plain Ranch flavor. Nobody liked the Wasabi Ranch except me, and I looooved it. I also loved the Black Pepper. I would say that those two are more “grown up” flavors.
So there you have it. Look for these, buy them, love them. Warning: these may make you farty if you eat the whole bag in an afternoon, like my kids did. It was a little scary around here. Portion it out the way you’re supposed to!
